12 Hours of Sebring, 2008

Zuffenhausen's first overall win at the 12-Hours since 1988. Joerg Bergmeister was alone as he flashed over the finish line to claim the top honors in the 2008 edition of the 12-Hours classic for himself and his fellow Flying Lizards, Wolf Henzler and Marc Lieb. The results of 2008 speak for themselves: Overall victory, and LMP2 class honors to the Penske RS Spyder reigning LMP2 champions Timo Bernhard and Romain Dumas, joined for this occasion by Emmanuel Collard. Three of the first five positions filled by Porsche, plus the Lizards' one-two finish in GT2. This was the 18th outright win for Porsche at Sebring, a string which started with Hans Herrmann and Oliver Gendebien in 1960 with their Type 718 RS 60 Spyder.
